In a recent tweet, tipster Abhishek Yadav confirmed that the world’s fourth largest global fabless semiconductor company, MediaTek will announce the Dimensity 9200+ processor come next month, May 10th. The Dimensity 9200+ will succeed the Dimensity 9200 processor released last year.

Upon the tipster’s announcement, the great mobile leaker @stufflistings rendered the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor AnTuTu scores, in a different tweet alongside the iQOO Neo 8 Pro. According to him, the new Dimensity 9200+ processor is likely to power the iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphone.

MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ AnTuTu Scores

As shown in the rendered poster, Dimensity 9200+ scores 1,338,597 points on the AnTuTu website. These scores put the Dimensity 9200+ processor on par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Thus, with scores of 1,338,597 overall (298,850 CPU/594,203 GPU/263,503 Memory/212,401 UX), the Dimensity 9200+ is well above the Dimensity 9200 and even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Therefore, its real-world performance uplift could be even higher, as the device in question could be a pre-production sample with unstable firmware.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ uses the same 1x Cortex-X1 + 3x Cortex-A715 + 4x Cortex-A510 cores as the Dimensity 9200, therefore there isn’t much of a change in the CPU configuration. However, it could have slightly faster clock rates and may also receive a similar treatment for its 11-core Arm Immortalis-G715 MP11 GPU.

MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ is Coming to iQOO Neo 8 Pro First

As we have seen in the poster MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ is likely coming to the iQOO Neo 8 Pro. The smartphone is confirmed with the model number V2302A on the AnTuTu listing. Meanwhile, the listing reveals that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR 5x RAM, 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, Android 13 OS, and a 120Hz display, which appears to be an AMOLED screen.

Although as per previous reports, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro is expected to boast a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels and a 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. A 5,000mAh battery with 120W rapid charging will be included. On the rear of the gadget, there will be a 50-megapixel, 1/1.5-inch primary camera sensor.
