In a recent post via Weibo, Huawei officially announced that the company will hold the Summer Product Launch event on May 18 at 7:30 PM (Chinese Time) in which many new Huawei products will be launched. This is coming after the company’s spring flagship new product launch event ended at the end of March.

Huawei’s Summer New Product Launch Event

As we saw from the teased poster, the first product that would be part of this launch event is a small-sized tablet MatePad Mini – Huawei’s MatePad Air. The new MatePad model is said to be lightweight, new, and more lovable, thereby representing a new lineup tablet.

However, in addition to this tablet, the company is also expected to uncover the all-new Huawei Watch 4 series, Huawei Matebook E 2023, Huawei Matebook X Pro 2023, and other products in the upcoming launch event.

The Huawei’s MatePad Air

As we are all aware, Huawei offers a wide variety of tablet models to suit the demands of various consumers, from high-end to entry-level. The MatePad series, which is divided into MatePad Pro and MatePad 10.4 and comprises Huawei’s premium tablet products, is similar to the older MediaPad series.

However, the tablet that Huawei tends to deliver to this conference, the Mate Pad Air, is entirely new, and it is anticipated that it will only rank below the MatePad Pro. There are at least three MatePad Air models, including a Wi-Fi version (DBY2-W00) and two 4G versions (DBY2-AL00, DBY2Z-AL00).

According to the available information currently, this tablet will include an 8200mAh built-in battery and a 10-inch screen as part of its configuration. It is important to note that the MatePad Air has obtained UFCS certification for integrated fast charging, making it the first tablet product on the entire network to support this feature.
