Back in March 2022, Redmi officially announced the RedmiBook Pro laptops powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processors. The laptop comes as the RedmiBook Pro 14 Ryzen Edition with a 14-inch 2.5K display, a thin aluminium alloy exterior, and a full-sized backlit keyboard. Since then, the Chinese tech giant has been working to improve the midrange laptop.

Today, the brand confirmed that it will be launching a new RedmiBook Pro 14 laptop with a minor upgrade in the processor unit. As we know, the 56Wh battery backup by 10 hours and the cooling system for maintaining optimal temperatures are the most remarkable features of the 2022 RedmiBook laptops but the new model stands out in the chipset unit. Now, let’s take a look at the new RedmiBook Pro laptops.

Redmibook 14 Stand Out with Core i5-12500H Chip

Unlike the 2022 RedmiBook Pro laptops which are powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processors, the new RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 comes with a Core i5-12500H chip. The difference between the two is that the Core i5-12450H has 4P + 4E cores and 48EU units, whereas the i5-1250H has 4P + 8E cores and 80EU units. At the same time, the i5-1250H has a larger cache and 4 extra threads in addition to having more efficient cores and display EUs.

While the Core i5-12500H chip makes the laptop stand out from all the previous models. In terms of other specifications, they shared similar features. For instance, it sports a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 100% sRGB colour gamut coverage, a maximum brightness of 300 nits, an E1.5 colour temperature, and support for DC dimming.

Amazingly, with its sturdy Aluminum-Alloy build, the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 is built to last and can withstand damage from regular usage. For added convenience, it has a 720p webcam, a roomy touchpad, and a handy fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. On mi.com, it is stated as having a 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, and an integrated Nvidia MX550 GPU.
