Just last week iQOO confirmed it will be launching its flagship smartphone – the iQOO Neo 8 series coming May 23rd in the Chinese market. The smartphone series is expected in two lineups, the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. Ahead of this official launch date the iQOO Neo 8 has been spotted on the Geekbench website revealing some expected specifications.

Recall that late last month the iQOO Neo 8 Pro was also rendered on the AnTuTu website. Therein we reported that the smartphone will be the first device to use the newly released MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip. The listing reveals that the device is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR 5x RAM, 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, Android 13 OS, and a 120Hz display.

As we confirm in a recent tweet from the popular mobile tipster, Mukul Sharma, the Geekbench listing reveals that the iQOO Neo 8 will come with V2301A as the model number and is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed Taro. The device scored 1678 and 4345 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

From the listing, the smartphone is likely to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC processor. Whereas, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro model has been earlier confirmed with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip. Therefore, this development shows that the two lineups will be sharing different powered processors.

Additionally, the listing also infers that the SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz for the prime core, followed by three performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Android 13 out of the box and a layer of Origin OS 3 in China on top of Android are also confirmed therein.

Coming to the storage capacity, the smartphone is said to come in different varieties. The Geekbench listed a 16GB of RAM for the Neo 8 5G while reports revealed that the device will also have 8GB or 12GB of RAM as well. Additionally, the smartphone is also likely to have 256GB/ 512GB of storage.

In the optical secession, the listing did not reveal any information therein. However, previous reports confirm that the device will have a rectangular-shaped camera module on the back for the triple-camera setup and an LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone is likely to feature a 16MP front camera. A 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging is also expected.

As we all know the iQOO Neo 8 series will be officially announced next week, May 23rd in China as well as the global market. Hence, we didn’t have much information about the pricing and availability yet. Thus, stay connected with Techgenyz as we keep you updated on the latest tech news.
