NASA Television, or we can say the NASA application, along with the website of the agency, is offering live coverage of the arrival of Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) to the International Space Station. AX-2 astronauts John Shoffner, Rayyanah Barnawi, Ali Aqarni, and Peggy Whitson are going to dock at around 9:10 AM, May 22, 2023, on Monday at the space-facing port of the station’s Harmony module.

In a recent update, NASA, SpaceX, and Axiom are initiating integrated operations. The same will start at the spacecraft’s approach to the International Space Station. NASA keeps a check on the mission responsibility during combined operations, which continues during the crew’s stay while the orbiting laboratory conducts activities related to education, commerce, and science.

These activities end after the exit of the Dragon from the space station area. Whenever the Axiom Space Mission 2 makes its entry at the International Space Station, it will be marked as the second mission consisting of an entirely private crew that has visited the orbiting laboratory. The welcome ceremony of the operation is set to kick off at 11:45 AM after the opening of the Dragon’s hatch at 11:13 AM.

The coverage of the live mission will end with the ceremony’s conclusion. Talking about the beginning of the mission, the second all-private astronaut mission started at 5:37 PM EDT on Sunday, May 21, 2023. The mission was being executed on a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center situated in Florida.
