Just recently, Apple rolled out the watchOS 9.5 update for its smartwatches. The update is said to have come with numerous bugs as users are lamenting different drawbacks on the device. To catch up with this, the tech giant has now rolled out a new watchOS 9.5.1 update to fix the bugs.

WatchOS 9.5 Update Issue

An Apple Watch 4 user who experienced battery charge plunges after updating to the watchOS 9.5 lamented how it’s drained from 100% to 0% via Apple’s discussion community.

In his words: “I started checking the charge level on my Apple Watch 4 after a full charge. No activity on the watch.”

Responding to the complaints, another Apple Watch 7 user said the watchOS 9.5 update drains the battery quickly.

“Same here, v9.5 drains the battery quickly. Apple Watch 7. Before the update I could reach almost 2 days, now at the end of the day it has only a few % left. I do not use any of the health monitoring and tracking apps so the problem must be elsewhere.”

Following this series of complaints, Apple has now made a watchOS 9.5.1 update available to users to fix the watchOS 9.5 bugs. According to the firm, the new watchOS 9.5.1 update is a build number of 20T570 from the previous watchOS 9.5’s 20T562 and includes bug fixes and improvements.

To download the latest reversed watchOS 9.5.1 update, users can access the Apple Watch app on their iPhone and navigate to General > Software Update. However, it should be noted that for installation of the updated software, the Apple Watch must meet certain conditions which include: having a minimum battery level of 50%, being connected to a charger, and remaining within the range of the iPhone.
