Just in mid-August last month, the Redmi Pad SE was officially unveiled in the European market with an 11-inch display, Snapdragon 680 SoC chipset, and an 8,000mAh battery capacity. The tablet follows the Redmi Note 12 series design, which comes with an aluminum alloy unibody design. Now, the Chinese mobile brand has revealed today that it is launching the new Redmi Pad SE in the Indian market on September 21st.

Redmi Pad SE is Launching in India on September 21st

A launch poster image shared by tipster Mukul Sharma via his X (formerly Twitter) page confirmed the coming of the tablet to the country next week, September 21st. Just like the Europe variant, the Redmi Pad SE India variant is said to feature an 11-inch 90Hz display.

However, we did not know whether the pad will also be fueled by the Snapdragon 680 SoC chipset and backed by 8,000mAh battery capacity; the tipster only revealed the launch date. Now, let’s take a look at what to expect in the upcoming Redmi Pad SE, as well as the India prices.

Redmi Pad SE Expected Pricing

The 4GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi Pad SE was officially rolled out for 199 EUR. Therefore, the device is likely to go for the same price in India roughly Rs. 18,000. The higher variants of the tablet, which include 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, are priced at 229 EUR and 249 EUR, respectively. Accordingly, we should be expecting prices around Rs. 20,800 and Rs. 22,600 for the duo, considering the current exchange rate.

Redmi Pad SE Expected Specs

As we have seen in the Europe variant, the new Redmi Pad SE is also confirmed to have an 11-inch full-HD (1900 x 1200 pixels) LCD and is likely to have been certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light. Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Mobile Platform SoC, with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 1TB using a microSD card, are also expected.

Coming to the optical secession, the current Redmi Pad SE sports a front camera with a 5-megapixel sensor and a back camera with an 8-megapixel resolution. Hence, the feature is likely to be repeated. The tablet has an 8,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C connection that allows 10W wired charging.

Additionally, a 3.5mm audio jack is included and comes pre-installed with MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13. The tablet boasts quad speakers that can play Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio for a better audio experience. The Redmi Pad SE is offered in Graphite Gray, Lavender Purple, and Mint Green colour options; Redmi might also maintain the color options.
