Apple is reportedly preparing to release iOS 11.3 today. The iOS 11.3 was already made available for the iOS Developer Program members, and Apple had previously announced its official rollout to take place this spring. Apple’s education-focused “Let’s Take a Field Trip” event in Chicago could occur simultaneously. The upgraded version of the cheapest iPad, priced at $329, could also be unveiled at the event. With improvements in issues, including the CPU throttling fiasco and Siri reading out private notifications aloud due to certain security flaws: this is being anticipated as the most important iOS 11 update to date.

In the case of the iPhone 6 and later models, the battery health will now be displayed, and the device will recommend to the user if it needs to get charged. The users can now choose between enabling and disabling the power management feature. This feature affects the device’s optimum performance and can easily be accessed from Settings > Battery.

Some of the new updates include ARKit 1.5, which is being made available to the developers. ARKit is very much capable of placing virtual objects on walls, doors, and other vertical surfaces. Apart from that, its accuracy while mapping irregularly shaped surfaces is something that’s never been seen before. The camera resolution is increased by 50% & the auto-focus feature is included as well.

The Health app will now contain a brand new encrypted and passcode-protected ‘Health Records’ feature. This feature can bring together information from hospitals, clinics, and the app itself to organize and provide quick access to the medical data.

The Messages will now have the Business Chat within them, making communicating much easier. The Advanced Mobile Location (AML) is one of the most interesting ones among the latest inclusions. It sends the user’s current location automatically whenever the emergency services are contacted. This service is limited to countries with AML support only. The developers can now add HomeKit support to existing accessories because of the HomeKit software authentication.

Four new Animoji characters– a lion, bear, dragon, and skull have made their way into iPhones. There won’t be any ad interruptions while streaming music videos. A new “For You” section featuring improved Top Stories and Video group has been included in Apple News.

The devices that will be receiving the iOS 11.3 update are iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPod touches 6th, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X.
