A long time ago, Finland based mobile phone company, Nokia scheduled an event in Dubai solely for the purpose of introducing and launching their brand new Nokia 8.1. The event is expected to take place on 5th December 2018. Before the launch, to create a hype about the new smartphone and to ensure that people are talking about the launch event scheduled to take place on 5th December, Nokia has teased the launch of the new smartphone on various social media platforms.

Nokia is trying their very best to catch up with the other leading companies and manufacturers of smartphones. In some ways, the firm has been able to catch up with them as the previous launches by Nokia proved to be successful. Nokia Mobile Indian Twitter handle has posted about the arrival of the new phone to the country with a tweet and a teaser video.

The tweet is vague and does not reveal anything about the upcoming smartphone. It does not even mention the name of the device that they are about to launch.

But since the upcoming event is about the launch of the Nokia 8.1, it is safe to assume that the tweet is essentially talking about the new Nokia 8.1. The video released along with the tweet does not provide us with any information. The video opens with a red background with roses and reveals the smartphone with a display notch. The red background may indicate that the new smartphone will be available in bright red color.

Nokia 8.1 is expected to feature a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with 2246×1080 pixels screen resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 2.2GHz octa-core processor and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The OS can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie. The smartphone will come in three variants of 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The phone is expected to have a 12-megapixel primary lens and 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 20-megapixel front camera.
