Samsung Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is one of Samsung’s 2018 Best Flagship smartphone. The device has aluminium and glass unibody build, and support for IP68 dust/water-resistance. The model has a similar design to its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S8 with the same form factor.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone has LTE Advanced antennas, with Dual SIM capability support for Nano-SIMs. The Galaxy S9 display features 5.8 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (1440 x 2960 pixels resolution). The smartphone specifications come pre-installed with Android 8.0 Oreo (now upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie). As for the processor, the phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-Core chipset combined with Adreno 630 GPU or Exynos 9810 CPU with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU (depending on the region availability). The Galaxy S9 RAM comes is 4GB, while the available storage space memory comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacity with the ability to expand storage through SD card.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Camera features a single 12 MP f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture resolution sensor camera, with 1080p/4K recording capability at both 30 FPS and 60 FPS. The sensor has OIS and six lens protection. It also has HDR and panoramic mode for the rear camera. The device also has Burst mode, 720p@960fps slow-motion recording. As for the front camera, Samsung Galaxy S9 features an 8MP f/1.7 front snapper. For night shots it has an LED flash on the rear.

In the area of connectivity, Samsung Galaxy S9 features Bluetooth (5.0), WiFi (Dual-band and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), NFC with a 3.5 mm audio jack support. Samsung Galaxy S9 sensors include Iris scanner, fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2, and the device has dimensions of 147.7 x 68.7 x 8.5 mm and gets a Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. The smartphone colours are available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, Burgundy Red, Sunrise Gold and Ice Blue.
