Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

Samsung’s larger Galaxy S8 model will be named Galaxy S8 Plus moniker. The leaked logo image is the evidence that the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 will bear the moniker Galaxy S8 Plus, which was shared on Twitter by smartphone leaker Evan Blass.

The South Korean technology giant is expected to release the flagship smartphone in two variants, one with 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and other with 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus. Both displays will feature 1440 x 2960 Quad HD resolution, with an unusual aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

The Galaxy S8 will be powered by 3000mAh battery and the S8 Plus will be powered by 3500mAh battery capacity. Both the smartphones will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, along with the front camera with autofocus, new AI based Bixby based on S-Voice, an iris scanner and S Pen accessory. The rest of the functionalities of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to be the same.

The logo seen that this year the Samsung is dropping the “Edge” from its phone monikers and it isn’t launching a flat-screen Galaxy S8 model.

In the past two years Samsung brought two variants of its S-flagship, one with a flat screen display and one with a curved display.

This Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are expected to launch officially on 29 March in New York.
