After upgrading the last year’s models (Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7) and processors, Samsung in India on Monday announced the launch of its new 2017 edition as Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). These new mid-range Galaxy A-series models will take place in the 2016 editions of the Galaxy A-series. Featuring an all-glass and metal design, these phones are also IP68 certified which makes them resistant to dust and water.

There are some common features between Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). Both the smartphones run on Android Marshmallow and connectivity includes 4G LTE support, dual-SIM compatibility, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, NFC, and ANT+. The rear camera is supported with a LED flash whereas, for selfies, the screen doubles up a flash. The Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) differ only in terms of display and battery capacity.

But if you are a power user, you can expand it for an additional 256 GB via a microSD card. Talking about the camera, the Galaxy A5 receives a boost as compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy A5 (2017) is fueled with a battery of 3,000mAh with fast charging capabilities.

Galaxy A7 (2017) comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and under the hood is the same chipset as seen on the Galaxy A (2017) with an option of expandable storage. The camera specification also remains the same with 16-megapixel rear and front camera.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at Rs 28,990 whereas Galaxy A7 (2017) is priced at Rs 33,490. Shipments of these smartphones begin on March 15. The Smartphone will be available in Gold Sand and Black Sky Color in India.
