Google is set to launch its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, at the upcoming Google I/O event on May 10.

The Pixel Fold has a book-like design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold series and Tecno Phantom V 5G.

The phone features a triple rear camera setup, similar to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series of smartphones.

Google has not revealed the names of the markets the Pixel Fold will be launched in, or its availability in India.

The Pixel Fold is expected to be priced over $1,700 and may be powered by the Google Tensor G2 processor.

The phone is said to have a 5.8-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable panel, with "the most durable hinge on a foldable".

Google will also launch the Pixel 7a and a Google Pixel tablet at the Google I/O event.
