A newly published patent shows that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch will include an in-built projector in the future.
The patent shows that the projector on the side of the watch displays information, including the time and the user’s heart rate, in the area around the side.
The projector included in the watch can project pictures or films onto the back of the wearer's hand. It consists of several lenses and arc-shaped LED transmitters.
Igeekphone reported that Samsung claims that the projector's internal leds dynamically change the brightness and focal length for the best possible display.
Projection is a serious test for a watch's battery life because of how little space it has to connect in the battery and how little power it can show for the projector.
