The most impressive product at the CES from the house Samsung has undoubtedly been the Notebook 9 Pen. It is not really the first instance when the company has tried to create a hybrid in-between a laptop and a Galaxy Note, but this one is for sure the best hybrid they have come up with by far.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen boasts a pretty decent design which is not much different from the usual Samsung devices. The company has concentrated more on making the device lighter than making it look good. The magnesium alloy Metal-12 that has been used in the Notebook 9 Pen has reduced its weight to an astounding 2.2 pounds. If you don’t have any idea about weights, let’s just say that it weighs a little more than half of the MacBook Pro.

The Notebook 9 Pen has got some solid configuration as well, equipped with the 8th-generation Intel Core i7 chipset, 512GB SSD and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Depending on the model variation, the device can handle almost everything. The 13.3-inch 1080p display looks flawless, though it may be a little less bright compared to other Notebook 9 models. It comes with one USB-C port, USB 3.0 port, microSD slot, and HDMI-out.

Again, though it is not Samsung’s first device that comes with their trademark stylus, the Notebook 9 pen comes with the most efficient stylus to date. The S Pen that comes with the Notebook 9 has 4,096 pressure levels and a 0.7mm nib. It can be used fluently for sketching, drawing, and creating something ‘artistic’. It is going to lure the artists out there for sure. The students can easily use the pen for various purposes, like taking down lecture notes. They can use either the OneNote app or Samsung’s exclusive Notes app that comes with the device. The Voice Note feature allows the user to capture conversations or lectures going on at a certain distance and get them written or recorded according to the requirements. The S Pen allows making GIFs by capturing snippets of video on-screen as well. The South Korean firm is yet to officially declare the price.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen may not be the best looking or the most stylish device in that price segment be lacking in style, but in terms of power and pen-based productivity tools, it is definitely going to provide a lot of hard times to the other devices. Samsung made sure that the device is the best option for users who seek the features it comes with.
