WhatsApp Group Audio Calls
WhatsApp for iPhone started having the group audio calls feature. Therefore, iPhone users will now get to make video calls to multiple contacts directly via the instant messaging app. Android users aren’t left behind either, with the social media company bringing the Select All option to take actions with all new messages at once. Android devices must have at least WhatsApp beta 2.18.60 or above for this feature. WhatsApp for Android is also receiving the add-contact shortcut that was available in iPhone as well. Android users will now get to directly add a contact right from the app. Coming back to iPhone, the new feature has the interface like normal voice calls. There are options for speaker, mute and video call below the profile pictures of participants. There’s no info on how many contacts you can have in one call, and only a handful number of iPhone users have received the feature so far. https://twitter.com/WABetaInfo/status/1000130443897987072 According to a tweet by WABetaInfo team, the WhatsApp group audio calls feature in iPhone is being rolled out to WhatsApp iPhone version 2.18.60.
