Canon has come up with its most intriguing release – Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II, high-quality compact cameras for enthusiast photographers and vloggers.
To make the model look different ha brought up many changes as the PowerShot G5 X Mark II is the first camera to have a pop-up EVF inside a compact body. It has also brought an updated sensor and lens and revised the body that makes it feel quite different than its predecessor.
In terms of specification, it comes with a 20.1MP stacked CMOS sensor. It is also packed with a new lens that offers a 35mm equivalent range of 24-120mm, which is furnished with four-stop, five-axis Image Stabilizer that enhances the quality of the image and makes the video steady.
As a further bonus, the model also packs the latest DIGIC 8 processing engine with a 30fps Raw Burst mode and 4K video recording without a crop. No doubt a compact model that will attract vloggers, videographers and photo enthusiast.
The most highlighting change is the electronic viewfinder which pops-up to its position when in use. Well, this is something similar that Sony used in for three of its RX100 compacts. The PowerShot G5 X Mark II is equipped with a superb 5x zoom lens along with its incredibly fast f/1.8-2.8 aperture.
As per the design, the model is quite sleek, and with its impressive details, it attracts attention and also secure holds for more stable photography. Hence the initial impression for the camera would be quite remarkable with contrast-detect AF setup rather than one with a phase-detect AF pixel.
It also comes with the face detection system. The Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II comes with a price tag of £849.99 in the UK, $899 in the US and AU$1,430 in Australia that will be available for pre-orders from 9th July and will for sale in August.
