Russian Scientists Develop New Micro Vacuum Cleaner to Clean Nano-particles From Air

Must Read

The earth is facing life-threatening catastrophes mainly due to unprecedented climate change. All-Around alertness globally has prompted scientists and environmentalists to explore ways and come up with a solution on how to fix this on a global level.

In the arena of technology and new inventions, scientists are trying their best to develop new technology or innovations that will help clean up the environment without further harming it.

Russian scientists have developed a new micro-vacuum cleaner which the scientists claim, can clean the environment from harmful particles.

The innovation of this micro-vacuum cleaner was a joint effort on the part of the researchers at the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute and some of their foreign colleagues. Their joint effort resulted in developing the concept of a photonic vacuum cleaner which can absorb nano-particles from the surrounding space.

Air purification has proved to be a Herculean task, and complete air purification previously had appeared to be next to impossible. On the nano-particle level, the technology to clear the air of these particles did not exist before.

In fact, this fact was mentioned by Oleg Minin, a TPU’s Electronic Engineering Department professor. He explained that there are no efficient particle control systems which can clear out the air of the particles ranging in size from 1 to 100 nanometers.

We are proposing a new concept for the manipulation of particles, their capture – this is a photonic micro-vacuum cleaner – Oleg Minin, professor at TPU’s Electronic Engineering Department

The new device is a micro-particle made of dielectric with a recess of a nanoscale. Optical radiation results in the rise of the optical pressure, which then causes the nanoparticles to be sucked into the hole.

The scientists who developed this concept would try to verify and test the legibility of this new device.
