In the world of cars, electric vehicles have become one of the most important parts of automobile companies. However, according to electric car market experts, the consumers interested in buying electric cars also need to be mindful of the fact that there are few electric cars on the market. As such, they need to cast a wider net than usual when looking for electric cars. In this thread, Volkswagen ID. Buzz is creating a buzz in the world of electric cars.

The automobile company Volkswagen first floated the ID. Buzz concept a few years back, and now it is almost ready to hit the market. The official Twitter account of the company Volkswagen tweeted that the ID. Buzz will make its debut on March 9, 2022. However, the model will arrive next year in 2023 as a 2024 model year.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz looks like a retro-styled, all-electric car modeled after the VW microbus. The microbus was hugely popular and still attracts automobile enthusiasts’ interest. Modeled after the microbus which now has a cult following is designated to attract a hoard of new customers.

One competitor that VW needs to worry about in the electric car market is obviously BMW; however, VW seems to have a few advantages up its sleeve. First off, the German BMW does not have an electric vehicle of any kind at the price range of ID.Buzz’s which starts at USD 40,000. Now that VW has appealed to its customers using the charm of the microbus, it is likely to bring in countless customers who would be eagerly waiting for the revival of the bug.

An online source has claimed, “The Volkswagen ID.Buzz will be built on the brand’s ubiquitous MEB architecture, and all-electric platform designed for small-to-medium EVs. There will be two versions; a short and long wheelbase; which will have either single or dual motors, three rows of seats, and it will start at around $40,000.”
