After eight months of hiatus, the American electric vehicles giant Tesla has officially reintroduced the Model 3 Long Range in the United States. As confirmed by Sawyer Merritt in a tweet, the EV giant reintroduced the Model 3 in the US for a starting price of $47,240 and came with 325+ miles of range.

Tesla Halts Production of the Model 3 Long Range

In August last year, Tesla halted production of the Model 3 Long Range due to an overwhelming backlog of orders extending well into 2023. This move left customers with only the base, rear-wheel drive version, and much more expensive performance version of the Model 3 available for purchase.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, a report revealed that Tesla might soon begin accepting orders for the Model 3 Long Range once again. Jake Bercic, who disclosed the information, pointed out that the price of the Long Range Model 3 has appeared on a Canadian Tesla support page. The price appears among other Tesla models, which all reflect current pricing.

The reintroduced Model

In the poster shared by Sawyer Merritt, the reintroduced Model 3 Long Range is expected to be delivered in June this year with a federal tax credit for eligible buyers: $3,750 for Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range and $7,500 for Performance. The EV also comes with a 325+mi range, 145mph top speed, and 4.2sec of 0-60mph.

As we all know, Tesla’s Model 3 Long Range is the best-selling EV in 2021, with multiple advantages in range, performance, and technology, making it the best entry-level EV. The vehicle is the first vehicle built on Tesla’s third-generation platform and aims to reduce the entry price for electric vehicles while not making any compromise on range and performance.
