Another big news coming from Facebook. The social networking platform started rolling out a Live video feature for Android users. Mark Zuckerberg, in Townhall Q&A held in Berlin today, announced the company’s plan to launch this service – in the next week, it’ll firstly roll out in the US, and more countries will join in the coming days.

Facebook last month announced to expand the service in more countries around the world. The feature is already available for iOS users in 30 countries across the world.

Now it has become easy; with the Live video feature, you can connect with your friends and family, and if you’re a public figure, you can reach out to your fans in real-time. Not only that, but the social networking giant is also planning to roll out the feature for Pages around the world that will be available in the coming weeks.

To share a live video on your wall, you need to follow some simple steps – just tap “What’s on your mind?” There, on the top of the News Feed, select the Live Video icon.

You can also write a quick description and select your audience before your start the broadcast. Another important thing is you can monitor your total number of views as well as your viewers.

While you’re on the broadcast, you’ll be able to see the number of live viewers and their names and respond to them through a real-time stream of comments. Once your broadcast is over, it will automatically be saved on your Timeline like any other video – here. You have an option to delete or share the video with your friends to watch later.

Facebook launched a Live video for public features in August last year – that lets users watch videos right on their News Feed. You can also get notifications by tapping Subscribe button that will inform you about the future broadcasts in your notification panel.
