Google Lens is a revolutionary innovation from Google. It can provide you with information just by pointing the lens at an object. In May last year, Google revamped the Android version of the service and the UI of the lens was branched out to include Translate, Text, Search, Shopping, and Dining. Currently, Google is working on the Lens to add a new feature, Education.
Even though an APK teardown can predict the new features that are yet to come, not all the time those features see the light of day. It happens mainly because of the fact that the features yet unimplemented in any app can be pulled down by the developers any time in a future build.
Apart from the addition of the Education feature, Google is also working on a feature that will let the users use the Translate feature even offline. Users can download language packs so that any text can be translated using Lens without an active internet connection. It remains unknown as to which language the new string will support.
As for the Education mode, it will work just like any other Google Lens feature. The description for this “Education” mode informs the user to “point at homework question to get help.” Even though it sounds simplistic, what the Lens can do is certainly not simple or ordinary. The Education mode can scan math problems and subsequently offer a solution to those problems. However, it is not clear yet if Google Lens could solve complex math problems.
The latest version of the Google Lens service could be downloaded using the latest beta version of the Google App. The Education service is indicated by a little Graduate Hat icon on the Google Lens.
Google Lens is already a very helpful tool for students in all aspects. However, particularly the Smart Text Selection feature is one of the most helpful since it can copy the contents of a document or picture and paste it to their documents or wherever they prefer to have it.
