Honor has silently unveiled its much-awaited 5G variant of the Honor X7b, following its global launch in December last year. The brand-new model now sits unobtrusively on their global website, boasting a few unrecognizable yet remarkable enhancements that may be vulnerable to early threats but certainly won’t heed commands unless they are nearly enough to pass muster. Out of the deck, it cherishes to play a game with the Dimensity 6200 chipset, which may not be a reasonable switch from the Snapdragon 680.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s under the hood of the X7b 5G:

The device boasts a huge 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a crisp FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels poised to support a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Running on MagicOS 7.2-based Android 13, it promises a sleek user experience.

For capturing beautiful selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel front camera. On the rear, you’ll discover a triple-camera setup, headlined by a whopping 108-megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by two 2-megapixel cameras for depth sensing and macro shots.

Under the metal armor, the device secretly draws its power from a Dimensity 6020 chip. The X7b 5G offers 8 GB of RAM and a spacious 256 GB of storage. Keeping everything running is a hefty 6,000mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging.

Additional features include a microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C connectivity, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.1. The device measures 166.7 x 76.5 x 8.24mm and weighs in at 199 grams.

As for pricing and availability, Honor is yet to reveal the details, but the X7b 5G will be offered in three color options: Midnight Black, Crystal Silver, and Emerald Green.

Comparing it to the recently released Honor 90 Smart, priced at €249 in France, the X7b 5G seems to offer a compelling package with its larger battery, higher RAM and storage configurations, and advanced camera setup.
