As CES 2018 is knocking on the door, HP has come up with an announcement that includes a next-gen Chromebox and two new Chromebooks. We have received details on the HP Chromebox G2, which is worth scribbling on!

The brand new Chromebox packs a 7th-gen Kaby Lake chipset and an 8th-gen Kaby Lake refresh, providing amazingly advanced performance ‘over the original processor.’ It runs the Chrome OS, has 2 memory slots, and 16GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM. It provides internal storage of 32GB that can be expanded up to 64GB.

The HP Chromebox G2 further offers a 65W/90W external power adapter. It is embraced with a mini form-factor, weighing 1.48lb or 0.67kg, and bears the lightest fitting configuration.

It is an ideal Chrome device with the latest Intel chipsets and loads of different configurations. Additionally, it is also going to ‘set the bar high for the makers who like to go with the flow. HP seems to have done well in focusing on performance offering while not wanting to go beyond of expectations of users who have experience in the predecessor model.

HP said the new Chromebox will not officially be exhibited in the CES next week. Although the attendants may still get a peek at the device in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The new HP Chromebook will be released in April, with a price yet to be disclosed. While we are keeping a tab on things for further development on this to present you with the next update, tell us in the comments about what you think of the specs revealed so far, and your expectations, if any.
