The new Huawei EEG signals can be used to detect drivers’ attention. According to the Qichacha APP, a new patent is named for “an attention detection method and system.

According to the Qichacha patent abstract, the current application offers a user attention detection method and system that gathers the user’s EEG signal through a device on the side of the ear, performs differential processing on the user’s left and right ear canal EEG signals to obtain the EEG signal, and uses the Huawei EEG signals to determine the user’s attention type.

The application’s solution makes it easier and faster to capture the user’s EEG signal, and it can detect the user’s attention everywhere and at any time. It can also be used in the field of automatic driving to deftly identify the driver’s attention based on the detection outcomes. The user changes the driving mode or issues an early warning.
