Korea’s most incredible Automaker Hyundai surpassed its rivals to recoup the number one position in hydrogen vehicle sales during January-August; a market research company released a report Tuesday.

Hyundai Motor sold merely 7,140 hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) in the global markets during the eight months, comparatively the sales bouncing 26 percent from the same period of last year, which had bagged 5,873 units SNE Research said in a statement, citing data from Global FCEV Monthly Tracker. Even Elon Musk stands on the hydrogen vehicles and hasn’t yet gone through the farm to get the seats occupied at the corner.

You might have heard Musk saying craggy things about hydrogen vehicles whilst offering a throne to battery vehicles, but instead of seeing it as a time-consuming or a threat to the environment, people still swoop down to buy a hydrogen vehicle; this wouldn’t partially make the statement of Elon Musk is an idea of a kid who would relish playing a remote car.

What the company has to say on Hyundai Hydrogen cars

The statement further explained that the maker of the Nexo hydrogen model is counted for nearly 60 percent of the global hydrogen-powered vehicle market in the first eight months. “Carmakers’ focus on pure electric vehicles, a chip shortage and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war remain major concerns for the sale of hydrogen cars,” Hyundai said.

Toyota Motors had a tough run to secure second place with sales of 2,561 FCEVs in the first eight months, bouncing down to 42 percent from 4,406 units juxtaposed to yesteryear.

The Japanese car maker Hyundai has taken up 21 percent of the hydrogen car market during the cited period. Honda Motor dominates the third with FCEV sales of 209 units, an upsurge of 17 percent from 178 previous years. From January to August, the statement said that global Hyundai hydrogen car sales saw a massive upsurge of 11 percent to a total of 12,407 units from 11,198 a year ago.
