Sony establishes SynecO keeping in focus augmented ecosystem technology

Sony has announced that to focus on Synecoculture and other environmental technologies related to the augmented ecosystem, the company will establish a new branch called SynecO. This new branch will also shift its focus to the co-production framing method and augmented ecosystem technology.

SynecO is part of the Sony Innovation Fund project which came into being in September 2020. A report claims, “The so-called Synecoculture is an ecologically optimized cultivation method that uses plant characteristics and environmental conditions to allow multiple plants to compete and coexist to achieve optimal growth.”

“The augmented ecosystem, best represented by Xiesheng Agricultural Method, has always been one of the most fruitful research projects on the global agenda of Sony Computer Science Lab. Its purpose is to make long-term contributions to mankind and society.

In our research and actual deployment in 2015, we have demonstrated the potential of augmented ecosystems to have a huge impact on global environmental and socially sustainable development issues, especially through our efforts in the African Sahel, which reversed the trend of desertification and improved the local economy has been boosted.

In the face of climate change, food insecurity and global epidemics, it is very urgent to substantially improve sustainability on the planet. This makes it more than ever necessary for us to build a high biodiversity high Functional ecosystem.

The creation of SynecO was accompanied by a strong sense of urgency to involve multiple stakeholders from the business community, government, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.

SynecO is not only committed to the restoration of the ecosystem and the promotion of food production but also Strive to be part of the infrastructure of cities and living spaces, as well as a new generation of education platforms that deepen people’s understanding of the natural environment.
