Coincidence or not that this arises after the denials of Apple regarding the decrease in the quality of your iPhone X Face ID feature as Bloomberg had commented, now we get a new report from Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo from the medium KGI Securities.
As stated in his new writing on behalf of the medium to which he belongs, KGI Securities ruled the following:
“We believe that the supply of both components is now stable, with no need to switch to other solutions.”
These “both components” refer to the spot projector and the infrared camera used in the TrueDepth camera, which in turn belongs to and composes the new three-dimensional facial unlocking system of the Cupertino firm baptized as Face ID.
Moreover, it is believed that by 2018 Apple will not experience more difficulties in supply and production since there will be no major update in the next generation of this system.
In addition, Kuo points out that his report contradicts other rumors in which it is estimated that the iPhone to be presented next year will come with a hybrid lens, that is, glass and plastic. According to the analyst, if this were done, it would cause more problems in the supply chain and further delays in the delivery of the phones of the bitten Apple of 2018. It would be like reviving the current cycle, something that does not suit you at all to the company.
However, it is necessary to incorporate all this with extreme caution. That is to say, although the current good state of Face ID production is corroborated, the fact is that it is also speculated on with the smartphones of next year when it is only now beginning the reservations for this 2017. We are before a report certainly rushed in this regard.
On the other hand, Kuo again suggests that iPad Pro next year will also incorporate Face ID as a method of unlocking, as predicted earlier this month. It is seen that in that sense Apple’s decision is clear, but not official yet.
