Since watchOS 4 started reaching out to the users last September, they have been hitting the blockade through lagging experiences, even in the basic functionalities. Recently, things have turned worse with the Apple Watch Series 2 watches.

According to the reports of the Apple smartwatch users, the Series 2 watches are offering lagging performance in using apps such as Music, Timer, and Workout. Alongside these, they are facing long loading times, slow animations, battery draining down, and extreme lag during scrolling or swiping. This all is affecting the assistant Siri as well, having speed issues in the latest builds like watchOS 4.2.

The complaints have appeared in the official Apple Community and social media sites like Twitter, Reddit, and more. These posts do not just talk about the Apple Watch Series 2, but also the Series 0 and 1 Apple Watches that are running watchOS 4 or later.

As per the complainants, it is unfortunate that the latest watchOS versions like 4.1 and 4.2 cannot live up to the users’ expectations in terms of improvement. Hardly a handful of users reported improvements. It is worth going through some of the posts revealed in the images below to be aware of the issue. At the same time, if you are one of the affected users and have yet to report, you might find yourself having to relate to the disappointing emotions already expressed.

It is unclear whether these glitches are appearing due to broken features or Apple throttling smartwatches like its older iPhones. Keeping aside speculations, we are still waiting to officially hear from the tech giant on the matter. Of course, Apple wouldn’t want to go with the decline of its reputation, with other recent issues it is facing regarding iPhones and taxes.

We are keeping an eye on the developments on the case and will keep you updated likewise.
