Recently, Samsung officially confirmed its plans to release Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the coming MWC. The latest development in this regard says that Huawei and LG have postponed their respective next-gen flagship smartphones at the exhibition starting February month-end.

According to previously received reports, LG was set to come up with G7 and Huawei with P11 or P20 at the MWC 2018. Instead, the South Korean brand may launch an advanced edition of the LG V30, and LG G7 may get introduced in March or April.

As for Huawei, the announcements of tablets and 2-in-1 notebooks are in line for this year’s MWC, and P11 is likely to have a dedicated launch for European markets in April. Furthermore, the P11 postponing of the brand is reported because of the challenges they are facing in marketing phones in the American markets. They intend to stabilize supply and demand of chipsets, and enhance the quality of triple camera setup, in the meantime.

At the MWC 2017, Samsung came up with Galaxy Tab S3, LG with LG G6, and Huawei introduced the P10 lineup. Considering present scenarios, Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be the smartphones that steal the show at MWC 2018. Other brands would also want to avoid the clash with the S9 duo.

Additional reports state that the S9 duo will be unveiled on February 25, one day before the MWC begins. The duo will be made available in South Korea by early March. In fact, pre-orders may start by March 1; shipments may initiate by March 16.

For an overview of the S9 duo features, the Infinity Display design will be retained from their predecessors. Both the handsets will have the Snapdragon 845 chipsets, although certain markets may receive the variants with Exynos 9810 chipset. Galaxy S9 is reported to pack single rear camera of 12 MP sensor, and the S9+ will have dual 12 MP cameras. As for the battery, S9 may have 3,000mAh and S9+ will bear the 3,500mAh capacity.
