Xiaomi Mi 6X

Xiaomi has got tons of surprises this year. At the beginning of the year only, Xiaomi presented to some latest hits in the smartphone range. This includes the Redmi 5, Note 5 and Note 5 Pro which stormed in the market. Now we may soon have Mi A1, the successor.

The Chinese smartphone company is already sending out invites in the market for an April 25 event in China and in all probability, Xiaomi Mi 6X will be launched there. And as reports have it, Mi 6X will be introduced in India as Mi A2 with Android One stock program.

This upcoming phone has recently passed through the TENAA listing and it will look different from its predecessor as the dual cameras will be aligned vertically this time the same way as Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Mi A2 is reported to sport metal body design along with a tall bezel-less display. Following the trend, it is said to feature 18:9 display with full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution. It is reported that the handset will feature an LCD panel, instead of an OLED panel and the display panel is expected to be 5.99-inch in size. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi A2 or Mi 6X will come with a Snapdragon 660 SoC with a clock speed of up to 2 GHz.

There will be an IR blaster on the smartphone to enable universal remote control features. The Mi A2 or Mi 6X will include a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The handset will have a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with a f/2.2 aperture along with flash. It is also said to support 4K video recording at 30 fps frame rate. The front camera will include a Portrait Mode, though the rear camera will not have optical zoom.

The smartphone will run on Android Oreo and powered by Snapdragon 636. It will come in three configurations with 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage, 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage. And also expected to pack a 2910mAh battery and measure 158.88×75.54×7.3mm.

The phone is expected to come in a red color variant also. Since Mi A1 is one of the best looking phones from Xiaomi within its budget offering pure Android, Mi A2 will also follow the same path.
