Meizu was long working on its new successor and now it plans to launch Meizu 16 very soon. The 15 series that was launched recently was claimed to be a test product and so the next series, Meizu 16 was promised to be more powerful and futuristic by Meizu’s Founder Jack Wong (Huang Chang).
As according to the reports Meizu 16 will be launched in two variants one that will be powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 processor, and the other variant will be powered by Qualcomm’s recently launched Snapdragon 710 processor. Going by the forum post the higher-end variant will have 8GB of RAM.
It will also carry an on-screen fingerprint reader which is not yet confirmed whether the on-screen fingerprint reader will be used by either the variants or only the higher-end variant. The novelty will come with Full HD screen resolution and notch-less OLED screens with 3D Press and imagine.
As for the image, the phones will be equipped with 12-megapixel at the rear and 20-megapixel selfie snapper in front. However, reports reveal that Meizu 16 will be equipped only with the dual camera setup, while the Meizu 16 Plus may come with a triple camera system.
The base model is expected to come packed with a 3080mAh battery (8V, 3A), and the Pro variant could feature a battery capacity of 3600mAh. Both phones will be compatible with fast charging mechanisms, and on top of that, the Pro variant of the Meizu 16 is expected to feature 10W wireless charging.
According to the new reports, it will have three models priced at $559, $591 and $667 that will launch in August this year, though the date is not known yet.
