DJ Koh, the President, and CEO of Mobile Communications Division of Samsung Electronics hosted a grand event today where he launched the brand-new, power-filled Galaxy Note 9. Media, Note fans, and partners who attended the event witnessed Koh present the first lot of the new Note to a select few Note followers, chosen from across the country.

The new Note has kept up with Samsung Galaxy Note’s legacy of being endowed with the latest ground-breaking innovations. It comes with a new remote S pen, the company’s most intelligent camera yet, and a unique PC-like experience with Samsung DeX and an HDMI cable that includes HDMI Adapter (EE-HG950), Multi-Port Adapter (EE-P5000) and DeX Cable (EE-I1300).

With a whopping 70,000 Samsung employees in India at present, Koh announced that it was his pleasure to present the brand-new Galaxy Note 9 in a country where Samsung is “the most beloved mobile brand”. He expressed that this phone was capable of keeping up with the hectic lives of the loyal Note fans who “want it all to get the most out of work and play”. Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President of Samsung India’s Mobile Business, said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is an amalgamation of the powers of a laptop, media streaming device, power bank, external hard drive, gaming console, DSLR camera and a selfie stick, “a super-powerful device built for people who expect more,” thereby assuring us of its deliverance.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 boasts of an all-day performance with some amazing features:

  • A 4,000mAh All Day Battery
  • Two internal storage options- 128GB or 512GB
  • A revolutionary 10nm processor and support for network speeds up to 1.2 gigabits per second
  • A powerful and stable performance with an advanced Samsung-developed Water Carbon Cooling system and on-device AI-based performance

With the help of Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, the new remote-like S Pen can now do much more than just draw and write; taking selfies and group pictures, presenting slides, playing and pausing video are just some of its new features. It has been said that developers might even integrate the S Pen’s state-of-the-art BLE capabilities into their apps later this year.

Galaxy Note 9 follows Samsung’s progressive camera technologies with features that make it easier for your photo to be perfect:

  • The Scene Optimizer that can identify elements like scene and subject and accordingly optimize the photo in an instant
  • Flaw detection notifications will pop up in case of blurred images, blinked eyes, lens smudges or any element that impacts the image quality
  • A powerful camera with advanced noise reduction technology, and a Dual Aperture lens.

Galaxy Note 9 has quite a large display with 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display accompanied by AKG-tuned stereo speakers that Youtube has praised as “a Signature Device able to deliver a best-in-class YouTube experience”.

Alongside these comes previous innovative features such as fast wireless charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, hybrid dual SIM. Samsung services like Samsung Health and Samsung Pay, Knox security platform and biometric security options like fingerprint scanning, iris scanning, and facial recognition capabilities are also present.

Starting August 24, the Galaxy Note9 will be available in India with the 128GB priced at INR 67,900 and the 512 GB at INR 84,900. Available model colors are Midnight Black and Metallic Copper colors with matching S Pen, and the Ocean Blue colour variant with a yellow S Pen.

Consumers can avail exciting cashback offers through Paytm Mall or HDFC bank credit and debit cards. Old smartphone exchange offers and Samsung upgrade offers are also available. Down payment of INR 7,900 and EMI options of INR 2,999 are available on the Airtel online store with a monthly postpaid plan. Vodafone customers can even enjoy unlimited Netflix subscription on Red postpaid plans of INR 999 and above. Jio postpaid customers can enjoy a 30-day International Roaming Pack at INR 5,000.
