The Japanese brand Sony will be holding a press conference on January 7 where it will talk about some of its latest technology. Sony mostly keeps its big flagship announcements for the MWC tradeshow, which takes place in Barcelona at the end of February, but since last year the company has been taking CES events to reveal its technology.

At last year’s CES, Sony revealed the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2, and this year will be no different. The devices, which first leaked way back in October, are likely to be named the Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Ultra, and Xperia L3, which are to be announced next week. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) of 2019 in Las Vegas will begin on January 8th, and Sony has scheduled an event a day before.

It is anticipated that the company will focus on 5G technology. According to recent leaks, each smartphone will target a completely different price tier, but all three will feature 18:9 displays, dual rear cameras, and glass and aluminium build. Additionally, Android 9 Pie is to be expected straight out of the box.

The Sony Xperia XA3 Ultra is expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 on the inside, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. It is to be sold in Black, Gold, and Silver.

The Sony Xperia XA3 is a mid-budget phone that comes with slim bezels; the body has sharp edges with a premium outlook. It touts a 5.9-inch IPS LCD display, having additional 1,080 x 2,160 pixels with a pixel density of 424ppi. The screen is secured with Corning Gorilla Glass which will protect the device from minor scratches, making it look new all the time.

The Xperia L3 reveals a 5.7-inch display panel that will have an aspect ratio of 18:9, along with a fingerprint scanner. Powering a Qualcomm mid-range octa-core, Snapdragon 660 chipset, Xperia L3 can be seen on some popular mid-tier smartphones.

Lastly, the upcoming CES 2019 will officially start from January 8 until January 11; however, the related press events will begin as early as January 6.
