Xiaomi’s new Redmi S series smartphone to launch in India soon

This morning, the General Manager of Redmi on the Weibo network has confirmed that the company will confirm the name of the Redmi phone. He also shared an image that indicates that the company’s next major phone might be called the Xiaomi Redmi S series.

Previous leaks alleged that the Redmi X will have the chipset Snapdragon 855. However, it was confirmed by Weibing that the company’s first major phone will have a different name. Protection films screen next flagship phone. Redmi presented names X20, P20, K20, and T20 have arisen in the past. However, there is no concrete evidence on the exact name of the smartphone. Chinese media is speculating on the names suggested for the smartphone featuring Snapdragon 855 of Redmi. The Huawei has used the name “P20”. Also, Vivo launched top range phones under its X series since the past few years.

The smartphone brand Smartisan, which is not widely known beyond China, has launched high-end handsets under its T-line. Therefore, there is a possibility that the next Redmi flagship might be called under the S lineup.

The latest information has so far revealed that the supposedly Redmi S will come with a 6.39-inch S-AMOLED display with no notch design. The smartphone will arrive with a fingerprint reader on the display. It is rumored to be equipped with a photographic sensor for 20-megapixel selfies. The back of the phone can be equipped with a triple camera configuration with a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor and a super wide-angle lens. The supposed Redmi S will likely have a 4,000mAh battery, with support for fast 27W charging.

A recent information leak revealed that Redmi is planning to introduce two top-of-the-line phones. These phones are expected to come in options such as 6GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage. Both smartphones can be launched in carbon black, blue and red. It is speculated that one of these phones could be launched outside China as Pocophone F2.
