The Chinese smartphone major Oppo after making its mark in the Indian and Chinese markets now doing good business in the European market. Last year, around this time, Oppo started selling smartphones in the Netherlands. Oppo has nearly 10 models of smarphones to offer in India. This overview will enable you to know more about the models and its features available ion the Netherlands in 2019.

In the Netherlands, you can buy Oppo smartphones at MediaMarkt, Belsimpel, CoolBlue, and Mobiel. In addition, the company has recently entered into a partnership with telecom provider T-Mobile. There you can buy the phones as a separate device, but also in combination with a telephone subscription. If you think this is important, pay attention to whether the model you have chosen actually has this functionality.

Future OPPO smartphones +

Apart from the smartphone models that Oppo has already released, there are also very interesting technologies in the making. Consider, for example, the revolutionary under screen camera, or a full-screen Oppo smartphone with a selfie camera that is processed under the screen.

There is then no notch, hole in the screen or pop-up camera needed to achieve a full-screen design. This technology has already been demonstrated by the Chinese manufacturer last month and will be further developed in the coming period.

This advanced technology may be used for the first time in a new Find series smartphone. Earlier this year Oppo submitted two trademark applications for the names Find Y and Find Z, so it is quite possible that these models are still in the pipeline.

Another interesting technological development that Oppo is involved with – just like many other smartphone manufacturers – is the foldable smartphone. At MWC 2019, the company showed a prototype of its first foldable smartphone. This device showed a remarkable number of similarities with the Huawei Mate X, which was unveiled the day before.

Afterward, there have been several reports about an Oppo foldable telephone where the sidebar was replaced by a pop-up camera. This gives the folding telephone a typical Oppo design.

If we look at the new promising Reno line-up, a few more models are expected. There appears to be an Oppo Reno F under development. However, it is still unclear what functions this phone will have and within which price segment this device will fall.

Finally, over the years Oppo has applied for various interesting patents that give us a glimpse into possible future technological highlights. For example, last year the company filed a patent for a full-screen smartphone with a second screen. Oppo telephones with a pop-up display and side-slider screen have also recently been patented. Two very special designs that would fit well within Oppo’s company profile.

Oppo clearly intends to put innovative products on the market and thus to take the forefront. The Oppo Reno 5G, for example, was the very first smartphone in Europe to use the new 5G network. For now, the 5G model is only available in Switzerland, but you can assume that more 5G smartphones will be introduced in the coming period. All in all, there is still plenty to look forward to in the coming period.
