Vivo’s Next Smartphone, Vivo V17, Houses a Weird Camera; Images Reveal

Must Read

Some photos of Vivo’s next smartphone, the Vivo V17, are circulating online. The photos show off the smartphone’s design and external features. A publication by the name of Hi-Tech Mail.ru, which is a Russia-based publication, also leaked some information about its characteristics.

The first thing about Vivo V17’s design that will capture everyone’s attention has to be the smartphone’s rear panel which houses the camera. People have gone so far as to call the rear camera design or the position of the cameras “weird”. It should come less as a shock to everyone especially after the launch of the iPhone 11 with the almost same kind of rear panel design.

Incidentally, the Vivo S5 has a similar design but when looked at closely, there is a distinct difference between these two smartphones. From the looks of it, Vivo is likely going on a certain path concerning the design of the two smartphones which, in the future, could be applied to other Vivo smartphones as well.

The cameras of the Vivo V17 are mounted on the back panel in a triangular shape, but when looked at from an angle, the panel itself is a square. The main back camera is of 48 MP. The front of the camera has a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera. Again, this is different from the Vivo S5, which has a selfie camera embedded in the corner.

There is a fingerprint scanner embedded inside the front screen. Vivo V17 features 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The upcoming smartphone will run on a 4500mAh battery. It is not yet known if the battery will support fast charge but from its specifications, it looks like, it might. The pricing is not known.

The Vivo V17 will surface at the end of November.
