The Motorola Razr foldable flip phone’s launch has been announced to be delayed beyond its original January date. Because of the high demand, Motorola has announced a slight delay for both the preorder and launch of the Razr. Originally it was planned for December 26th and sometime in January, respectively.

‘”Better meet consumer demand'”, according to a statement sent out to publications by parent company Lenovo. “Demand has been high, and as a result, has quickly outgrown supply predictions”.  – Motorola

In a statement from the company, it cited unexpectedly high interest in the 2019 Razr that has been forcing the company to rethink.

Since its announcement in November, the new Motorola Razr has received unparalleled excitement and interest from consumers. The rebooted Razr will come with a price tag of $1,499 – less, true, than a $2,000 Samsung Galaxy Fold, but also considerably more expensive than other smartphones with the same sort of processor and camera technology. It is strange to think Moto didn’t foresee high demand for the Razr it seems that people are excited to get a sleek, foldable phone that fits into the slimmest of jeans.
