The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei recently announced that the Huawei Mate X2 will finally launch on February 22. On Monday a Weibo user claimed the same; the Weibo post also mentioned that the new offering from the company will be a smartphone with a foldable display.

The upcoming smartphone, Huawei Mate X2 will join the league of Huawei Mate X which was launched in 2019. The Mate Xs was launched last year, and featured a foldable display with an out-folding design. Several sources claimed that the new Huawei phone will be sporting an in-folding design. This seems to be the case for Mate X2 as the launch poster suggests that the smartphone will arrive with an in-folding design. Undoubtedly, the smartphone’s overall design will differ from that of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

As per a few sources, the Mate X2 could come with a foldable screen of 6.45-inches which will support a resolution of 2270 x 1160 pixels. The display screen will be packed with a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, under the hood, the smartphone features Kirin 9000 5G.
