The launch of the first-generation MIX immediately made it a fan-favorite, not only in its stunning design but also because of its features. The smartphone also promoted the exploration of the future of smartphones.

The MIX smartphone plays a significant role in establishing the Chinese smartphone giant as one of the pioneers of smartphones. Sadly, after Mi MIX 3, the MIX series disappeared.

Xiaomi has announced that the company is working on a new Mi MIX 4, and it will be launched soon. Recently, during a discussion session, Lei Jun has revealed that Mi MIX 3 will definitely be released this year.

He conceded that the full-screen first-gen of the MIX smartphones had received positive feedback and that the second-generation could meet the users’ expectations. He was also quick to mention that the smartphone series’s third-generation received a lot of criticism because of its sliding cover.

The MIX series has been out of production for almost two years now. However, Lei Jun has assured that the fourth-generation of the MIX will be up to the mark. The new generation MIX will bring better ceramic craftsmanship.

Only last week, the Chinese company teased a new four-curved waterfall screen, and Xiaomi also has multiple folding screen shade design patents up its sleeves.

Since Lei Jun has promised that the four-generation of the MIX series will be up to the users’ expectations, the company might incorporate these display designs.

The Mi MIX 4 had made a brief appearance on the official European MIUI website, but there has been no development on the news about the smartphone since then.

Lei Jun did not hint about the upcoming smartphone either, so all of the information available online is just speculation.
