Last year in October, Huawei announced that the company would soon launch the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design flagship phones. Today, the Huawei Mate 40E has been launched.
The Huawei Mate 40E 5G smartphone features a 6.5-inch OLED screen with curved edges. On the front screen, the smartphone sports a punch-hole design. The display offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Mate 40E 5G runs on Kirin 990E. It is backed by a 4200 mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
The smartphone features a triple camera setup on its back with a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and OIS support. The front camera is 13 MP.
The smartphone comes with other features like dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, USB-C, and face unlock. Huawei Mate 40E 5G comes with EMUI 11 based Android 10 OS and it comes with an NM card slot for additional storage.
Huawei Mate 40E 5G variants
The Mate 40E 5G comes in two options – 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 4599 yuan, and the other variant is priced at 5,099 yuan. The smartphone will go on sale on March 18 in China. Moreover, it will be offered in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Secret Silver.
The company has also announced that a base model for the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design will also soon be available in China. In fact, an 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant was launched officially in China at the price of 10,999 yuan.
