Popular beverage producer and brand Arizona Iced Tea has earlier announced that the company has ventured into the world of non-fungible token (NFT) assets. The New York-based beverage company has now partnered with the Bored Ape Yacht Club to introduce an “Arizona Aped” NFT comic.
Arizona Iced Tea partners with Bored Ape NFTs
Arizona Iced Tea (usually branded as Arizona) is a popular brand in the U.S. Owned by Arizona Beverages USA, the drink was first produced back in 1992 and ever since, Arizona Iced Tea has seen its popularity grow immensely, which led the company to delve into making numerous other products like iced tea cocktails, energy drinks, and tea mixes. The company made nearly $100 million in sales in 2010, and 7 years later, the total revenue was already $3 billion.
However, this week, the company has now revealed that it has collaborated with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and posted a new comic NFT.
Announcing the development to its 91,000 Twitter followers, the company took to its official Twitter page to post; “BIG NEWS, ZONIE’S! Arizona APED into the [BAYC] – We’re stoked to introduce our Bored Ape NFT and have some huge things planned”. The company tweeted to its 91,000 Twitter followers.
Arizona Iced Tea did not stop at the exciting announcement, it went in to tweet a shoutout to the Twitter handle @boredapecomic and the website boredapecomic.com. The website explains that the “Bored Ape Comic #1 is officially available to mint for 0.04 ETH and limited to 10,000 copies. Bored Ape Comic #1 introduces an amazing cast of Bored Apes as they enter the metaverse,” the web portal added.

In the Arizona Iced Tea ape comic, an image of two Bored Apes can be seen, then a billboard of a Bored Ape holding a can of Arizona Iced Tea which also says “NFT.” Arizona Iced Tea has now followed in the footsteps of other well-known brands entering the blockchain space. With the likes of Axe, Burger King, Slim Jim, Oscar Mayer, Mars Candies, and many more leading the pack, Arizona Iced Tea is now the latest addition.
