Following the original Red Magic 6 Pro and 6R, the Red Magic 6S Pro has now arrived. The product, which comes with a new chipset, cools better and has faster touch controls than its predecessors.
At the time of writing this report, the vanilla 6S model is not available yet, but the original 6 and the 6R are still very much on the market.
Red Magic 6S Pro Cooling effect
The 6S Pro has its prime CPU core nearing about 2.995GHz, a substantial improvement when compared with the 2.84 GHz from the original chipset used in the Red Magic 6 Pro. This extra speed will almost amount to nothing if the phone is not able to keep the chipset cool. And so for this reason, Red Magic has come up with the ICE 7.0 cooling system.
Unlike what was used in the original 6 Pro, ICE 7.0 uses what is known as PCM (Phase Change Materials). PCM is basically something that absorbs and stores heat as it is being generated. It then later releases the stored heat slowly afterward to even out heat spikes from running the phone.
For heat management in the long term, the phone comes with an active cooling fan, which spins at 20,000 rpm. Unlike the former ones with 18,000 rpm, the higher speed means that air volume increases by up to 30% and air pressure by 35%. Noise from the higher rpm is also totally tempered by a metal cover.
Red Magic 6S Pro Touch sampling rate
Like before, the panel retains its refresh rate of 165 Hz. The new feature, however, is that the multi-finger touch sampling rate is now 720 Hz. Wait, did you get that? The 6 Pro used to offer 360 Hz for multiple, but now, the 6S Pro does 720 Hz for multiple fingers. Amazing!
Other Features
The Red Magic 6S Pro model available on the international market has a 5,050 mAh battery and comes with a 30W charger. While the 66W charger can be bought separately, the 30W is also very fast. It can charge from 0 to 100 in a little above one hour ( 65 minutes precisely).
The camera features remain as is on the 6 Pro model. The main camera on the back is 64 MP, while the front camera is 8 MP.
According to reports, the Red Magic 6S Pro will soon be made available on the global market and will come in 2 different configurations: 12/128 GB in Eclipse Black and 16/256 GB transparent.
