Now that the American tech giant Apple has finally released the long-anticipated iPhone 14 series, it is believed that the mobile brand will be focusing on the development of the next-generation iPhone 15 series to make the device stands distinct. As we see in the new iPhone 14 series, the brand made a wonderful improvement in the device, especially the introduction of Dynamic Island, which gives a delightful way to interact with the device compared to its predecessors.

Apple Analysts

Two popular, reliable Apple Analysts, Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman have shared some details about the next-generation iPhone lineup. Recently, Ming-Chi Kuo pointed out that Apple will make crucial changes to the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models to boost sales in developed markets.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo explained that the American tech giant had decided further to differentiate the iPhone 15 Pro from the ordinary model to improve Pro shipment distribution and new iPhone ASPs. Likewise, he noted that Apple would start differentiating the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro to take things a step further. This is the greatest method for precise product segmentation to increase sales and profits in mature markets.

Why is Pro Max to be named iPhone 15 Ultra?

On the other hand, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman recently retweeted Ming-Chi Kuo’s Twitter, implying that Apple will change the Pro Max model naming scheme from Pro Max models to Ultra. Evidencing this assertion is the premium Apple’s premium wristwatch that was just released, and the M-series CPUs from Apple have names like Pro, Max, and Ultra. Therefore, instead of an iPhone 15 Pro Max model the next year, there may be an iPhone 15 Ultra.

iPhone 15 Series Specs

However, as per reports, the upcoming iPhone 15 series are expected to be equipped with a 5x periscope camera and a “Smart Island” hole-digging screen with Face ID. Earlier this year, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple might eventually switch to a USB Type-C port on the iPhone 15 series instead of a Lightning port.

Meanwhile, recall that we recently reported that Ming-Chi Kuo disclosed that the upcoming iPhone 15 series would be simultaneously produced in India and China at the same time. Conclusively, it is projected that the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to use TSMC’s 3nm chip A17 in the first batch, while the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still use the A16 chip as in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
