Come December 15th, Motorola will introduce the Moto X40, its forthcoming flagship smartphone in China. The Moto Edge 40 Pro name is also anticipated for the device’s upcoming global launch. Nearly all of the important details and renderings were leaked before the debut.
Recently, a leak confirmed that the smartphone’s display panel will be extremely capable after finding it in the HDR+ database. The HDR10+ is very similar to HDR10 because it can produce almost 1 billion different hues. The primary distinction between the two is that HDR10+ panels employ dynamic information to faithfully represent both bright and dark areas within a scene.
Moto X40 Full Specs Revealed
Now, as we just discovered in a tweet from the popular reliable tipster, the full specs of the device have been revealed. According to a leak, the Moto X40 will feature:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
- 12GB LPDDR5X
- 512GB UFS4.0
- 125W wired
- Wireless charging support
- 165Hz OLED
However, in earlier leaks, the device is said to be powered by the MyUI 5.0 custom skin on Android 13 OS and features NFC, dual-band 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type C, dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, and IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
At the same time, the OLED display will measure 6.67 inches and will offer FHD+ resolution with either 144Hz or even 165Hz refresh rate. The device as a whole will measure 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm and weigh around 196 grams
Moto X40 Camera
A 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom is rumoured to be included in the smartphone’s optics.
Going by the various reports from tech media, the Moto X40 is expected to be officially announced on December 15th. The Motorola Moto X40 will be available in two colours: Black, White and priced at $699.
