Over the years, Redmi has retained its commitment to promoting alien technology. Not long ago, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi Group, promoted a new model. The model Lei Jun announced this time is not the flagship model such as the Mi 13 series or the Redmi K60 series, but an entry-level model with a starting price of only 699 yuan: the Redmi 12C.

The Redmi 12C comes with a large storage expansion of 512GB microSD card and supports TF Card expansion to continue promoting the firm’s Alien Technology. TF expansion card slot is caused by various factors, such as the stacking of the internal space of 5G mobile phones and so on.

Although most mobile enthusiasts are very reasonable. Under such circumstances, many consumers think that it is normal for manufacturers to not use this advanced alien technology. The focus of the publicity is not on performance, screen, or battery life, but on its TF card slot.

However, today, Redmi mobile phone marketing manager Zhang Yu posted on Weibo stating that the Redmi 12C features a three-in-one card slot design while retaining alien technology.

“Redmi 12C retains alien technology and adopts a three-in-one card slot design. It supports the coexistence of dual nano-SIM+TF memory cards, supports up to 512GB large storage capacity expansion, and contributes to the popularization of 512GB.”

Meanwhile, it is understood that TF card expansion features are not available in the majority of the industry’s current mobile phone designs. TF cards and twin SIM cards are the only options available even though some models accept both.

In January this year, the Redmi 12C was officially launched. The device includes a big 5000mAh battery, a 6.71-inch screen, and a 36-month stutter-free experience, in addition to ample storage expansion.

Redmi’s general manager, Lu Weibing, stated that Redmi’s goal is to serve as many customers as possible. The purpose of 12C is to entirely satisfy the fundamental requirements of low-income individuals for a mobile phone: widescreen long battery life, smooth Dayton system, and the highest level of cost performance.
