As part of its commitment to providing high-quality products, Xiaomi is reported to have won a new patent right for a curly-screen mobile phone with a columnar appearance. As reported by IT House the mobile phone appearance patent applied by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. was authorized today.

Recall that in 2019, the Chinese mobile giant reportedly filed for a design patent that has a curved display that rounds off on all four sides making the phone truly bezel-less. Now, it seems the patent right has been authorized and Xiaomi is here to set a new dawn in the mobile industry. Let’s take a look at the patent

Xiaomi Curly Screen Phone Patent

As the abstract demonstrates, the design’s primary focus is on the shape of the product, which is a mobile phone that is used to run applications and conduct mobile conversations. The patent diagram demonstrates how the product’s screen can be rolled up into what seems to be a cylindrical mobile phone, which also has what appears to be a pop-up camera on top.

According to the patent introduction and illustrations, Xiaomi’s patent is for a mobile phone with a curled screen that can expand and contract and roll into the interior of the device, eliminating the crease problem associated with folding screens and resulting in a smaller overall size.

However, it is believed that this patent represents Xiaomi’s investigation into an attempt in the mobile phone market, which helps promote the diversification and advancement of mobile phone technology, but it also needs to take into account the curved screen’s issues with durability, cost, and compatibility.

Setting A New Dawn

The images from the patent show that this new Xiaomi device will stand apart from conventional smartphones because of its distinctive curved screen design. A more immersive and cinematic viewing experience is produced by the screen’s curvature along the horizontal axis. Moreover, this design enables more content to fit on the display without feeling crowded, making better use of the available screen real estate.

The Xiaomi Curly Screen Mobile Phone’s ergonomic design is one of its main advantages. Long-term use is made simpler by the curved screen’s ergonomic shape, which fits easily in the palm. Given how much time individuals spend these days on their mobile phones, this is extremely crucial.

Additionally, the Xiaomi Curly Screen Mobile Phone is equipped with cutting-edge features and capabilities in addition to its ergonomic style. It is anticipated to have a superior camera system that enables users to capture beautiful still images and moving pictures, as well as cutting-edge computing capability that enables it to handle even the most demanding apps and games.
