In the next few days, the world will witness another edition of the largest technological event – the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023). MWC is an annual trade show organized by GSMA as the most significant international summit of the mobile connectivity industry. This year’s edition will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 27 to March 2, with the theme “Connected future.”

Ahead of the world’s most influential show, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be participating in the 2023 edition to exhibit its latest mobile phones and humanoid bionic robots with cutting-edge technologies among others. Lei Jun, Xiaomi Group’s CEO, said CyberOne, CyberDog, and the latest smartphones are coming to MWC 2023 via its official Twitter page.

Xiaomi’s CyberOne and CyberDog

CyberDog is a bionic quadruped robot, while CyberOne is Xiaomi’s first full-size humanoid bionic robot. Both robots are capable of realizing bionic visual and auditory interaction, walking on their own, and carrying out specific tasks in response to spoken commands. These two robots’ mechanical and mental abilities are said to have all been self-developed by Xiaomi Robotics Labs.

The Mi-Sense depth vision module and AI interaction algorithm on the CyberOne robot enable it to sense 3D space and recognize people, gestures, and facial expressions. CyberOne can distinguish 85 different environmental sound types and 45 different categories of human emotions thanks to a self-developed MiAI environment semantics recognition engine and a MiAI voice emotion identification engine. Its processing units enable the display of real-time interactive information when used with a curved OLED module.

The Cyberdog, is expected to cost around $1,540 and is significantly smaller than the quadruped from Boston Dynamics, is powered by NVIDIA’s Jetson Xavier NX platform and has 11 built-in sensors. CyberDog had three control options at launch: a voice control, a remote control that was available separately, and a mobile phone app.

Xiaomi 13 Smartphones

In addition, Xiaomi will showcase its most recent smartphones during the exhibition, including the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13Pro, and others. Xiaomi might potentially demonstrate the most recent advances in smartphone image technology. The Xiaomi 13 has a new look that is immediately reminiscent of the most recent iPhone models thanks to its flat display and shiny, straight-edged shell. Also, it offers an IP68 designation for water and dust resistance.

Standard colour options in China are Black, Light Green, Light Blue, Grey, and White. Nevertheless, there are also limited edition models available with vibrant Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue finishes. The Xiaomi 13 has a slightly larger 6.36-inch OLED screen than the Xiaomi 12 from the previous year.

Although it has a 1080 x 2400 resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and support for several HDR standards, this phone is essentially comparable to the one before it. The phone’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, together with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of storage, comes as no surprise. The higher capacity variants switch to the quicker UFS 4.0 while the 128GB models stick with the slightly older UFS 3.1 storage technology.
