Meizu said that Meizu Zero is the world’s first true non-porous future mobile phone. It adopts a One Piece Unibody ceramic integrated design. The body has no physical buttons, and the palm art is seamless. According to the official introduction, Meizu Zero is really non-porous mobile phone that has removed the physical card slot, using an eSIM air card.

Since the year started, we’ve been seeing a new trend amongst smartphone manufacturers. Major names from China are trying to move towards the next dimension in the world of smartphones, a smartphone that is perfect from every angle. Vivo was the first one to break in with their Waterdrop concept. The Waterdrop concept or Apex 2019 is supposed to be a smartphone that’s one continuous slab of metal, glass, or ceramic. While Vivo’s idea still raises specific questions, Meizu has already come up with what it thinks is the next major step in smartphone design with the Meizu Zero.

Meizu Zero has no physical buttons, retains the engine horizontal linear motor, and the virtual button replaces the physical volume and power buttons. Because there is no hole, it directly realizes the IP68 waterproof function.

Other features of this machine include Research Super charge Wireless fast charge, USB 3.0 high-speed transmission, mound 2.0 screen sound, optical fingerprint, eSIM air card, imagine horizontal linear motor, IP68 waterproof and dustproof, Snapdragon 845 processor, Sony’s IMX380 + IMX350 dual camera, Flyme 7 plus, One Mind intelligent AI engine.

There’s a 5.99-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display curves toward the edges. Meizu has relied on the last year’s Snapdragon 845 chip with LPDDR4X RAM. For the cameras, there’s a pair of Sony’s IMX380 + IMX350 dual camera setup, while the front has a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

However, Meizu’s concept phone has been under development for almost two years and will not be mass-produced or sold for now.
