However, recently, the Chinese mobile brand has kicked off the OnePlus 12’s promo campaign in international markets, suggesting January 24th as its global launch date.
As we are expecting the official launch tomorrow, December 5th, a new leak has just revealed the launch date and full camera capabilities of another series of smartphones – the OnePlus 12R, AKA OnePlus Ace 3.
OnePlus 12R Launch Date
While the initial announcement in China specified a local launch on December 5 for the OnePlus 12, the global release date remained undisclosed. However, tipster Abhishek Yadav has now provided a glimpse into OnePlus’s global strategy, revealing that the OnePlus 12 series with the OnePlus 12R is scheduled for a grand debut in India and the global market on January 23, 2024.
As revealed by the tipster, the OnePlus 12R, also known as the OnePlus Ace 3, is part of the upcoming OnePlus 12 but is a new series. According to him, the OnePlus 12R is expected to launch in China on 17 December 2023. This staggered release strategy showcases OnePlus’s commitment to catering to diverse markets with tailored launch schedules.
OnePlus 12R’s Camera Capabilities
Adding to the excitement, tipster Mukul Sharma has also shared intriguing details about the OnePlus 12R’s camera capabilities. The device is poised to feature a sophisticated camera setup, boasting a 50MP main camera with optical and electronic image stabilization coupled with a wide ƒ/1.8 aperture and 12.6MP pixel-binning.
Complementing this, a secondary 50MP lens with OIS and ƒ/1.8 aperture, also employing pixel-binning technology, promises impressive photographic versatility. Additionally, a 7.4MP pixel-binned 0.8x lens with EIS and ƒ/2.2, along with a 16MP front camera featuring EIS and ƒ/2.4, completes the comprehensive camera suite of the OnePlus 12R.
